Corowa trainer Geoff Duryea will trial both sprinters towards the end of this month as he looks towards the $1.3 million Kosciuszko with the pair.
He was to represent Wagga's William Farrer Hotel's Super Punters Club in the race.
Duryea has said both Front Page and News Girl will have a run in Melbourne leading into the Kosciuszko.
News Girl is also on the comeback trail from injury, having undergone stem cell treatment on an injured tendon.
The pair are $8 and $15, respectively, for The Kosciuszko with TAB.
