The Ovens and Murray Football Netball League season will be riding on COVID restrictions for regional NSW next week.
The NSW Government announced on Thursday morning regional NSW will continue its lockdown, which came into effect last Saturday, until 12.01am, August 28.
The O and M announced on Wednesday the first finals will be pushed to a 'Super Sunday' on August 29, with the qualifying and elimination finals to be held at neighbouring Wangaratta grounds, Norm Minns Oval and WJ Findlay Oval respectively.
"We forecast the lockdown would go for two weeks and that's why we've elected for the 'Super Sunday'," O and M general manager Crag Millar explained.
The league requires regional NSW to come out of lockdown as planned for its first finals to proceed in its current format.
