It's the latest football-netball competition in the region to fall to COVID after the Upper Murray league, Goulburn Valley league and Picola league.
"The Murray FNL's number one priority has always been the safety and wellbeing of our communities," a statement read.
"Our clubs rely on these communities for supporters, players, umpires, officials and volunteers.
"The Murray FNL executive has made the decision not to award premiership trophies and medals for season 2021.
"However, minor premiers, best and fairest and other individual awards will be recognised at a date to be determined."
Tongala was top of the ladder when play was stopped, having won all 13 games, while in the A-grade netball, Nathalia held the number one spot.
The news comes as Tallangatta league clubs have voted unanimously to press ahead with a finals series if restrictions in regional Victoria are eased next week.
Meanwhile, the Hume league will seek feedback from club presidents in the wake of the NSW Government's announcement of extending the state's lockdown.
And things are becoming "more difficult by the week" for the Ovens and Murray with a deadline of October 3 to finish its season.
