Neville James Kennedy was handed a non-parole period of seven months on fronting Albury Local Court via a video link to jail.
IN OTHER NEWS:
He had previously pleaded guilty to being armed with intent to commit a serious indictable offence of larceny over the incident on January 24.
Kennedy fled after a Woolworths worker refused his demand to "gimme (sic) everything in the till".
