Boys will also pilot the V8 powered open wheeler at Bathurst a fortnight later.
The S5000 is a new generation of Australian open wheel racing and is the quickest in the country with competitors contesting the Australian Drivers' Championship and Motorsport Australia Gold Star - the nation's oldest and prestigious drivers' title.
The '5000' is a reference to the thunderous five-litre (5200cc) V8 engines, which produce 420kw and 300kph.
Boys says the open wheeler is totally different to a touring car.
"It's half a ton lighter than my Supercar, it's got big wide tyres and a low centre of gravity which makes for a pretty fast lap, I'd think we'll be four or five seconds a lap faster than a Supercar at Bathurst," he explained.

"There's no power steering, no nice padded seat, it's very raw compared to a Supercar."
