Roll Up Reggie is a green bus and mobile vaccination clinic to be used by Albury Wodonga Local Public Health Unit in Alpine, Indigo, Towong, Wangaratta, Wodonga, Albury, Greater Hume and Federation.

Reggie's first stop was the Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre car park on Wednesday and the bus will also head to Rutherglen and Myrtleford this week.

With two vaccination pods, the clinic can vaccinate up to 200 people in a five-hour session provided there's enough space around for waiting areas.

Public health executive director Lucie Shanahan said Reggie, funded by the Victorian government and supported by Dyson Group, was a key step towards ensuring everyone in the region had the opportunity to be vaccinated.

"Not just towns, but also some of the districts and areas in between towns, where we know it is hard for people to get into town to access a vaccine," she said.

Wodonga mother of three Peta Sellers took advantage of this convenience to get her first dose on Wednesday, as did her children Chloe-Lee, 13, and Charlie-Jay, 12.

Nine-year-old Mylee received a special badge and seemed to like the mobile clinic.

"Can I sleep in the bus?" she asked with a laugh.

Miss Sellers said the family had recently needed to isolate after being close contacts, which delayed their efforts to be vaccinated.

"It was like finding the right time to get us all done at once," she said.

"I'd rather be out and know that we're safe."

Reggie's team includes Dysons driver Steven Layton and COVID-19 vaccination program nurse manager Jenny Keogh, who said a little competition helped choose the clinic's name.

"We decided to go with Reggie, it fits in quite nicely with Roll Up For Our Region," she said.

The mobile clinic's roster will be added to the Albury Wodonga Health website.
