Wangaratta remains the only unbeaten team in Ovens and Murray Bowls Region's A1 pennant.
The visitors ended Wodonga's undefeated start with an 88-71 shot win.
"It was a little bit of revenge for last year's grand final defeat but, having said that, the two teams are very competitive and it was played in a very good spirit," Wangaratta's Greg McDonald suggested.
Wangaratta won three of the four rinks, with skip Adrian Pantling claiming a 20-16 win.
The home team pegged a win back through skip Peter McLarty, who retained his undefeated record against Ethan Fruend's rink.
However, strong wins by nine and six shots to Maurie Braden and Ian Brimblecombe's rinks respectively sealed the win.
Jason King played his first game for Wodonga after returning from Queensland, but Braden's rink proved too strong, 24-15.
Meanwhile in the other round five matches, Corowa RSL defeated Yarrawonga 75-70, Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort hammered Rutherglen by 54 shots, while Benalla belted Kiewa 96-53.
