Yackandandah's Cooper Garoni will move to Adelaide for employment after studying podiatry for four years at Charles Sturt University.
"It was sad saying goodbye to everyone, that's the last time I'll see them for a while, it's bittersweet," he suggested.
The left-hand opening bat played under 14s with the Roos, before joining Wodonga.
He debuted as a 15-year for the Bulldogs and posted his highest provincial score of 67 against New City the following season.
But he walked away from the club at Christmas, 2016, and has been with the Roos since.
"I didn't really love the game anymore (at Wodonga) and had a few mates at Yackandandah, it was the best decision I've made, I've formed such good friendships there," he offered.
