Murrumbidgee Local Health District, which covers Wagga, Griffith and Albury and the wider Riverina, recorded 379 cases.
Albury recorded 49 new cases, Greater Hume recorded four new cases, Murray River recorded one new case and Federation recorded 13 new cases.
In Victoria, Wodonga recorded 32 new cases of COVID, 13 were recorded in Indigo, 22 in Wangaratta, 12 in Alpine, 35 in Moira and five in Towing shire.

It comes as NSW recorded 35,054 new cases.
There were 108,884 tests conducted in the 24-hour period.
Eight people with COVID lost their lives in NSW, 1491 were in hospital and 119 patients were in intensive care units.
In Victoria, 17,636 cases were recorded.
There are 591 people in hospital in the state and 20 on ventilation.
Albury Wodonga Health's Lakeside testing clinic again reached capacity early in the morning, with the health service publicly saying the clinic was closed to new arrivals just after 10am.
The Smythe Street walk-in facility fared better but reached capacity by 11.45am.
