But the Australian singer-songwriter said she was "nervous" fans wouldn't see her play in "smaller, intimate venues".
"You just never know," Shark told The Border Mail.
"I had a lot of people coming up to me when I was doing the sort of major city tour and I just thought yeah, it would be a really good idea.
"But it wasn't until the night before it was going on sale that I thought this could be a really bad idea.
"I was super relieved and it just made me realise how much Australia has supported me and yeah I can't wait to come to Wodonga."
Shark will take to The Cube stage in Wodonga on Thursday and Friday and said more artists should tour regionally.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"I feel like artists should do more in regional towns - we ask a lot of the country to travel to see us play wherever we decide to play," she said.
"And despite it just being fun to be travelling with my band and my crew I just think it is nice to give back to a lot of these smaller communities and towns who have really been there for me.
"It just feels good, it feels like the right thing to do."
Shark said her show is a "little more special" at the smaller venues.
"It is nice to be in those intimate venues again where you can really sort of see peoples faces and their reactions," she said.
"It is a different feeling but I think regional towns are so happy from the second you step on stage, there is no warming into it for them, they are at 100 in the first song.
"I love that about it because they don't get to see as many artists as the major cities do - it is high energy.
"I play the same show for 1000 people as I do for 10,000 people so they aren't missing out on anything.
"It is such an awesome show that I think being intimate it feels a little more special and I feel I can tell a few more stories and it isn't falling on deaf ears."
The original show in Wodonga on Friday night sold out in 10 minutes, prompting Shark to put on a second Border show.
There are still limited tickets left to see Amy Shark on Thursday night at The Cube Wodonga.
