Commercial Albury Golf and Wodonga Golf clubs have been forced to cancel their pro-ams, which were scheduled for December.
"Unfortunately we're not going ahead this year and obviously there's a few reasons, one of main ones being a large percentage of our professionals come from Melbourne," Albury club professional John van der Veen said.

Albury has been running its event successfully for around a decade, with 2016 Australian Open runner-up Ashley Hall declaring the club's greens were better than Royal Sydney, where he was beaten in a playoff by three-time major winner Jordan Spieth only days earlier.
Of course, the coronavirus has battered so many aspects of everyday life, but it means Wodonga will be forced to delay the event after only returning to the PGA of Australia circuit last December for the first time in around a decade.
"The majority of players are from Melbourne and we've still got a policy in place that you can't visit the golf course if you have been in Melbourne the last 14 days," club pro Gavin Vearing said.
Queenslander Gavin Fairfax smashed Wodonga's course record by a whopping four shots after firing a sublime 11-under par 61.

Both clubs are looking to return next year.
COVID also claimed the NSW Senior Open, which was scheduled for Thurgoona Country Club Resort later this month, but officials are hoping to reschedule it.
