The Spiders won 23-15 in the final against the Cootamundra Ex-Services' side skipped by Terry McDonald.
Howlong defeated teams from Tumut and Wagga Rules Club in sectional play, but produced their best performance in the final to qualify for the state finals at Ettalong Beach next month.

"I made a final in the Champion of Champions singles many years ago, but this is the first time any of us have won zone," Slater said.
North Albury's Rob Unsworth, Mark Mulcahy, Troy Campion and Jim Holland fell 22-19 to a side from West Wyalong Bowling and Recreation Club in the final of the president's reserve fours.
