The country music star credits little Alice White, of Henty, with being the drought breaker as the heavens opened across the region on Friday, March 29 - coincidentally on the same day the clip was officially released.
The adorable four-year-old played a starring role in the music video filmed on location at Henty in February.
Now she's become somewhat famous in the close-knit town and further afield as the community celebrates much-needed soaking rains.
Storer chuckles at the timing of the rain with the release of the single but says "sometimes things happen for a reason".
"I remember being out on those hills at Henty during the filming and it was just so dry," she says.
"I hoped there would be magic in that song - it was written as a song of hope to encourage all Australians to create their own rain dance."
Storer said Alice "pulled out all the dance moves at sunset" after a relentless day of filming, adding it was a huge day of work.
"Alice may have been our drought breaker," Storer says.
"It was uplifting to read all the Facebook posts; at Coonamble people were commenting on watching the water flow down a dry river bed."
As for Alice, mum Kristel says her daughter is relishing the attention at the local supermarket.
"She's still enjoying the limelight, she laughed.
- Storer will perform music from her new album, Raindance, at the Commercial Club Albury, April 13. To book tickets or pre-order the album go to Sara Storer's website.
